Makinley is Randy Grard's granddaughter. She was diagnosed with leukemia in August of 2018. She went into remission in December of 2018. She will not be declared cured until being in remission for 5 years. For the 2 years after entering remission Makinley will continue treatment to ensure the cancer cells will not grow/return. All money donated to #TEAMMAKINLEY goes towards medical bills, transportation and all other things needed during Makinley's treatment.
*Up Date: Makinley returned to school after missing a year. She has been making straight A's!!! Makinley is still doing treatment in Dallas every Monday and sometimes gets sick the next day from the treatment however she does not let it keep her down. She has also been shooting her bow again now that her strength is returning!
